THE SPOOKY DRUM...

Hungry jackal wanted food.

He was in a grouchy mood.

Through the jungle, on he ran;

all alone without his clan.

He came across a battlefield

Strewn with broken swords and shields.

Then he heard that scary sound...

Booming, screeching all around!

Plop! he sat, on the ground;

Shaking, tucking his tail down.

Roaming monster is around!!

Oh no, would he be found??

‘Wait a bit.. calm down please!

Look around behind those trees.’

Slowly he crept on the ground;

Shaking, scared, not a sound!

There it was… the big beast.

Not what he thought in the least!

A huge drum by the trees

Branches swinging in the breeze

Boom, brmmmm, boom, brumm

Went the branches on the drum.

‘Phew’, went jackal, ‘what a relief.’

He stopped shaking like a leaf

Calm and cool, he kept going.

Time for food, no more slowing.
