THE MYSTERY OF THE CHEESE BEAST!
Mommy took a deep breath…
all her chores were done
Her little beast was fast asleep…
quiet time had begun!
But then she heard those busy feet,
rumbling down the hallway floor…
stopping, hopping to a beat
before rushing through the door!
“Heeahh!” He went swinging his cap,
jumping up into Mommy’s lap!
“Sheriff is here to get you mom…
You are in my trap!”
Mommy giggled, “No Sheriff please!”
“Hmmm,” said Sheriff, “You hid my cheese!
Give me some and I’ll let you go!
I’ll let you watch your TV show!”
Mommy kissed his little cheek.
Sheriff smiled; he hugged her tight!
“Cheese with grapes,” she announced.
And he squealed in delight!
Soon Mommy said, “What have we here?
Grapes remain, how did the cheese disappear?”
Sheriff smiled and began to sway.
He knew his smile would save the day!
“A monster came,” he said with surprise!
"He has big teeth and bigger eyes!
He’s still hungry, he wants a feast!
Run Mommy run, it’s the Cheese Beast!”
Mommy laughed as Sheriff tried to run.
Scooping him up, she tickled him for fun!
“Caught him!” she said, holding him near.
With a little story, the grapes did disappear!
