A GIFT FOR RUDOLF
Down the chimney he went...
the last gift was done!
The sleigh so much lighter,
Christmas morn had begun.
‘North Pole’, said Santa,
to his faithful reindeer,
‘Time to rest, and relax;
enjoy that Christmas cheer.’
Flying back slowly,
they all began to yawn,
They had been around the world...
all before dawn.
Santa smiled to himself
and soon began to snore!
The reindeer didn’t know it,
A surprise was in store!
When they had washed and eaten,
he called upon them all.
Surprise, surprise for them,
gifts big and small!”
Dasher got a skateboard,
Dancer... a guitar,
Prancer got fine shoes,
Comet got a star!
Vixen found a warm coat,
Cupid and Donner... a goat!!
Blitzen found a radio set,
Rudolph was still... did Santa forget?
“Rudolph,” said Santa,
“make a wish, make it grand!”
“In that case,” said Rudolph,
“let's go play, in the sand!
Laying on a beach,
would do us all some good!"
The other reindeer glared
and stomped where they stood!
"A promise is a promise,
and if the rest won’t come,
Lets go dear Rudolph
and get some warm sun!"
So off to the beach,
they happily drove!
Lay on the sand,
swam in the cove.
Soon they were joined
by the rest of the team!
Making sand castles,
slurping down ice cream!
Hey kids! Happy Holidays to all of you. Have you ever wondered what Santa does after a long and hard day of delivering presents all over the world??
